Greetings,

My name is Matthew Bender and I am responsible for Underground Art Concepts, the creative portfolio of freelance artwork, graphic design, and any additional chaos you may find. I am a 2009 graduate of Michigan State University's advertising program, which is where UAC began. During my freshman year at MSU I decided to put those doodles within the margins of my notes to work for me. I started UAC for two reasons; to make a little money between classes and because it's what I love to do. What originally began as a small freelance identity for custom paintings, UAC quickly developed into a dynamic design studio highlighting my creative capabilities. All though UAC operates on a very small scale, the ideas have been the exact opposite. UAC clientel ranges from private friends and family to large companies looking for design solutions with a unique "underground" flavor. My roots in graffiti are the foundation for much of my work, and examples of this are visible in each project.
